Our Almighty Lord is He Who creates in the form and at the time of His choosing, using no previous models. When Allah (God) wishes a thing to exist, He merely commands it to Be!

Our Word to a thing when We desire it is just to say to it ‘Be!’ and it is. (Surat an-Nahl, 40)

Allah is He Who is free of all deficiency; He Who stands in need of nothing. Therefore, Allah has no need of any natural causes, vehicles or stages in order to create. Nobody must be deceived by the fact that everything on Earth depends on specific causes and natural laws. As the Creator of all these causes, Allah is unfettered by any of them.

Those who fail to think in the manner required by these truths, however, may fall into various errors. Those who seek to reconcile Darwinism with Islam, according to their own lights, are also deceived because of a failure to reflect properly. Since they fail to properly appreciate Allah’s sublime creative power and the perfection in His artistry, they produce fictitious concepts such as Islamic evolution. However, one matter that such people ignore is the different forms of His creation. Allah has brought living things with very different creations into being, such as human beings, animals and plants. For example, these people are unable to explain, using their own flawed logic, how the angels and jinn were created. As we are told in the Qur’an, the creation of the angels is very different to that of human beings. Allah reveals the creation of the angels in these words in the Qur’an:

Praise be to Allah, the Bringer into Being of the heavens and Earth, He Who made the angels messengers, with wings – two, three or four. He adds to creation in any way He wills. Allah has power over all things. (Surah Fatir, 1)

As can be seen from this verse, the angels are also very different to human beings in terms of appearance. Indeed, in the term He adds to creation in any way He wills in the above verse, Allah reveals that His creation takes different forms.

Moreover, we are told in the Qur’an that the angels were created before human beings. When Allah created the first human, Adam, He informed the angels of this and commanded them to prostrate themselves before Adam. This is revealed as follows in the Qur’an:

When your Lord said to the angels, ‘I am putting a overlord on the Earth’… (Surat al-Baqara, 30)

We said to the angels, ‘Prostrate to Adam!’ (Surat al-Baqara, 34)

We created you and then formed you and then We said to the angels, ‘Prostrate before Adam,’… (Surat al-A’raf, 11)

It is impossible for those who fall into the error of thinking that Allah created living things by way of evolution to account for the creation of the angels. Because according to these people’s flawed perspective, Allah causes one species to evolve from another through natural selection or mutations – something which is in fact absolutely untrue. (May Allah forgive us.)

What those who make such a claim first and foremost need to be aware of is that scientific progress has revealed that neither natural selection nor mutation has any evolutionary power, in other words any power to give rise to any new living species. Science refutes these claims. In addition, Allah could of course have created living things through evolution had He so wished. However, there is no information to that effect in the Qur’an or in the hadiths of our Prophet (saas). Not one single verse supports the evolutionist idea of species coming into being in stages. Given that the situation is so crystal clear, it is inexplicable for Muslims to advocate the theory of evolution. The reason why some do is lack of information, a psychological inferiority complex felt in the face of evolutionists, and errors such as imagining that since evolutionists are in the majority they must also be right.

The Jinn and Satans Were Not Created through Evolution

Like the angels, the creation of the jinn is very different to that of human beings. Allah reveals in verses that He created man out of clay, and the jinn from fire:

We created humanity out of dried clay formed from fetid black mud.

We created the jinn before out of the fire of a searing wind. (Surat al-Hijr, 26-27)

He created man from dry earth like baked clay; and He created the jinn from a fusion of fire. (Surat ar-Rahman, 55)

In the Qur’an Allah has also revealed the purpose behind the creation of human beings and the jinn. In one verse He tells us:

I only created jinn and man to worship Me. (Surat adh-Dhariyat, 56)

It is clear that human beings and the jinn are entities that have been created in different ways. Yet the purpose behind their creation is the same: to worship Allah alone.

We are told in the Qur’an that, like the angels, the jinn were also created before human beings. When Allah created Adam He commanded the angels and Diabolis to prostrate themselves before him. We are informed that Diabolis, a jinn, did not prostrate himself before Adam:

When We said to the angels, ‘Prostrate yourselves to Adam,’ they prostrated with the exception of Diabolis. He was one of the jinn and wantonly deviated from his Lord’s command. Do you take him and his offspring as protectors apart from Me when they are your enemy? How evil is the exchange the wrongdoers make! (Surat al-Kahf, 50)

As can be seen from these examples, Almighty Allah has no need of any stages in order to create. Allah, Lord of the Earth and Sky, can dispense with natural causes whenever He so chooses. If Allah chose, for instance, He could create human beings without any need for lungs and who could survive without needing to breathe oxygen. There is therefore no need for Allah to perfect a lung or to give rise to any other mechanism by causing it to evolve over the course of time. It is therefore a serious error to limit one’s thinking to one’s own thoughts and senses when reflecting on the greatness and might of Allah. Human beings’ knowledge is restricted to the extent permitted by Allah, and can know only what He permits.

It also needs to be made clear that Allah could make use of different stages when creating if He so wished. He produces a plant from a seed, for example, and creates human beings from a combination of a single sperm and a single egg cell. However, these stages have nothing to do with claims regarding evolution. There is no room for chance, coincidence or anything random at any stage. Yet, the basic claim of the theory of evolution concerns events taking place spontaneously, through random, unconscious coincidences. The fact is that every stage during the emergence of a plant or as a single cell turning into a human being with the most beautiful form takes place thanks to immaculate systems created through Allah’s infinite might.

Allah Himself makes all the laws in the universe and gives them the form He desires. Allah is He Who performs what He chooses, when He chooses. With His might, Allah rules all things and enfolds all things in the Earth and sky. Yet some people are unable to comprehend the might of Allah and make the mistake of thinking of Him in terms of their own limited intellects. We are told of the existence of such people in the Qur’an:

They do not measure Allah with His true measure. Allah is All-Strong, Almighty. (Surat al-Hajj, 74)

Creation is a simple matter for Allah. Our Lord is He Who brings into being without any natural causes. In the same way that He created the jinn and angels with different forms, He also created man as a separate entity with no need for evolution. The same thing also applies to other living things such as plants and animals. The clear truth revealed in the Qur’an is this: Allah has created all these living things without causing them to evolve, in other words, in a single moment, without turning one species into another.

Those who seek a middle way between Islam and Darwinism despite these truths and who propose such claims as Islamic evolution, which are incompatible with the Qur’an, are in error. Those who fall into the error of imagining that evolutionary creation is possible need to be aware of the mistake they are making. What sincere Muslims need to do is to abandon their error and turn back to the truth when they see that the path they are on is wrong or flawed.

This painting depicts a meeting of the believers in Qumran.

The Qur’an specifically points to the positive beliefs and moral characteristics of Christians. God has revealed that for Muslims, Christians are “the people most affectionate to those who believe” and “not arrogant.” (Surah al-Ma’ida,82) According to Islam, Christians are not deniers, but are a People of the Book, together with the Jews. In other words, they are faithful people who believe in God’s earlier revelations.

However, the Qur’an does point to one major error by Christians. That is the error of the Trinity, the ascribing of divinity to Jesus. God warns Christians in this regard in the Qur’an:

O People of the Book! Do not go to excess in your religion. Say nothing but the truth about God. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only the Messenger of God and His Word, which He cast into Mary, and a Spirit from Him. So believe in God and His Messengers. Do not say: “Three.” It is better that you stop. God is only One God. He is too Glorious to have a son! Everything in the heavens and in Earth belongs to Him. God suffices as a Guardian. (Surah an-Nisa, 171)

Indeed, when we look at the historical facts, it can be seen that the Trinity is a myth which entered into Christianity at a later date.

Monotheism: The Essence of Christianity

Christianity was originally born among the Jews living in Palestine. All of those around and who believed in Jesus were Jews and lived according to the laws of Moses. The most fundamental feature of Judaism was monotheism, the belief in one God.

However, Christianity began to grow rather different after the ascension of Jesus into the presence of God and with its spread from the Jewish world into the pagan one. Monotheistic belief, the essence of the law of Moses, underwent a great change and Christians began regarding Jesus as divine.

The belief in the “Trinity” emerged at the end of this process. This concept describes, for Christians, a three-way belief in God as “Father, Son and Holy Ghost.” The Trinity is one of the fundamental conditions of faith for traditional Christians. The belief in the Trinity regards our Almighty Lord from a superstitious perspective and is a mistaken concept which ascribes divinity to Jesus, sent by God to mankind as a prophet. Despite harboring a great many inconsistencies and being totally incompatible with monotheism, it occupies a central role in the Christians’ corrupted system of beliefs. Someone who does not believe in the Trinity, and therefore that Jesus is the son of God, is not regarded as a real Christian by the supporters of traditional Christianity.

The Pressure on Those Who Denied the Trinity

One interesting point is that the various individuals and movements which have opposed belief in the Trinity and maintained that Jesus was only a prophet of God were subjected to great pressure during the course of Christian history. These monotheists fiercely opposed those who said that Jesus was the son of God, and openly stated that this was “ascribing partners” to God. For that reason, they were for hundreds of years described as “heretics” and even “enemies of Christianity,” and those who supported them met with the same reception. Yet those who believe in the oneness of God have always been in a minority compared to the proponents of the Trinity in the Christian world.

Even those neutrals who have researched the subject have established that real Christianity is the monotheistic Christianity that was suppressed throughout history. A large part of the independent Bible researchers, which began in the 18th century in particular, concluded that the Trinity, confession of sins and other Christian dogmas had no place in true Christianity. In their studies of the Old and New Testaments and other Christian sources, experts have revealed that traditional Christianity has very different features to that of the time of Jesus, and was shaped centuries after that time.

Christians Who Have Denied the Trinity

It is under the influence of these sources that some Christian sects today reject the Trinity. The Unitarian Church, for example, which maintains churches all over the world, is one major Christian community which rejects belief in the Trinity. Although they may hold various different views, the members of that congregation deny that Jesus is the son of God and say that Christianity demands belief in a single God. Many of them emphasize the mistaken nature of the claim that Jesus was crucified to redeem the sins of the world.

One can find opponents of the Trinity among Christians of various different persuasions and churches. The opponents of the Trinity are growing in numbers, particularly in America, every day, and there is a rapid rise in the numbers of people who are openly expressing the truth in the Christian world. Among these, the “Worldwide Church of God” is particularly noteworthy. Herbert W. Armstrong, the founder of the church, maintains that the Trinity is a pagan doctrine which entered Christianity from pagan cultures.

The most noteworthy point on this subject is that there is no trace of the belief in the Trinity, portrayed as the foundation of Christianity, anywhere in the Bible. It appears neither in the Old Testament, the holy book of the Jews, nor in the New Testament, the Christian sacred text. Belief in the Trinity depends on the interpretation of a number of statements in the Bible, and the word itself was first used by Theophilus of Antioch at the end of the 2nd century. This belief became fully incorporated into Christian belief long after that. For that reason, Bible researchers and those opposed to the Trinity concentrate on the questions of “Should not belief in the Trinity, described as the basis of the Christian religion, be openly stated in the Bible?” and “If this belief were really true, should not Jesus have openly spoken of it?” The answer they provide is clear: No belief which does not appear openly in the Bible and was thus unknown to the first Christians can form the basis of Christianity. This is nothing more than a myth which formed after Jesus and under the influence of Greek culture. It has nothing to do with the essence of Christianity.

This truth can be seen from a careful reading of the Bible.

The Basis of the Bible Is Also “Belief in One God”

It is revealed in the Qur’an that Jesus issued the following message to the Jews:

…”O Tribe of Israel! Worship God, my Lord and your Lord…” (Surah al-Ma’ida, 72)

The expressions of Jesus calling to oneness of God are present even in the gospels of the New Testament, which were exposed to distortion and falsification. For instance, Jesus answered a teacher of law who asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” as “The most important one is this: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ (Mark 12:28-30)

The following passage, again from the gospel according to Mark, shows that Jesus prevented not just the ascription of divinity to him but even praise of him:

As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him. “Good teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?” “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good-except God alone.” (Mark 10:17-18)

In fact, this passage alone is sufficient to show that belief in the Trinity is a violation of the New Testament. Rejecting praise and stressing that only God is worthy of praise Jesus openly stated that he too was a servant of God.

In fact, Jesus is a prophet of God, sent to tell people of the oneness of God following the corruption of the revelation brought by Moses and that there is no other god but him. He called upon the Jews, who had corrupted the true religion brought by Moses, to abandon their bigoted traditions and superstitions and to submit solely to God. This message of Jesus to the Children of Israel is revealed thus in the Qur’an:

And when Jesus came with the Clear Signs, he said, “I have come to you with Wisdom and to clarify for you some of the things about which you have differed. Therefore fear God and obey me. God is my Lord and your Lord so worship Him. This is a straight path.” (Surah az-Zukhruf,63-64)

“I come confirming the Torah I find already there, and to make lawful for you some of what was previously forbidden to you. I have brought you a Sign from your Lord. So fear God and obey me. God is my Lord and your Lord so worship Him. That is a straight path.” (Surat Al ‘ımran, 50-51)

It is the duty of Muslims, Christians, Jews and everyone in the world to abide by this divine call.

The Dajjal’s Plotting Has Come to an End – 2

Posted under General

As can be seen from the many various signs in the hadiths, the period we are in is the “End Times.” It is clear from the hadiths of the Prophet (saas) that the End Times are taking place now and, by Allah’s leave, the return to Earth of the Prophet ‘Isa (as) is also to be expected in this period. Just as we are told in the hadiths, the Dajjal is making his corruption felt in the End Times we are living in, and rebellion, evil, division and degeneration is spreading across the world. Many people have gone along with the corruption of the Dajjal, turned their backs on proper moral values and accepted a devilish system based on denial.

The greatest corruption of the Dajjal, in ideological terms, in the End Times is Darwinism. Darwinist ideology, the worst nonsense of the 19th century, was initially criticized. But it spread throughout society during the 20th century under the influence of the Dajjal, misled vast masses of people into believing in it, gathered a great deal of support and found its way into school text books and the scientific literature. Despite being a terrible lie and devoid of any scientific evidence even though it claims to be scientific, it managed to deceive the world under the influence of the Dajjal. Again under the Dajjal’s influence, people regarded something non-existent as actually existing and adopted a theory with no scientific nature as “an explanation of the origin of life.” Children began learning about Darwin’s theory of evolution right from primary school, the most-watched pro-Darwinian television channels emphasized false scenarios of evolution as “scientific research,” and university professors espoused this fraud with all their might and main. This is a false system of belief through and through. Darwinism emerged as a false religion, huge efforts went into making people blindly believe in it, and those who did not believe in it were excluded and silenced. There has been no scientific evidence in favor of the theory for 1.5 centuries. And it is impossible for there to be any. But since Darwinism is a false belief system, false evidence is constantly produced to support the theory of evolution and the real scientific evidence that repudiates evolution is covered up. The scale of this fraud is truly enormous and, as a perverted and false belief system based on denial of Allah, it is a known plot of the Dajjal’s, and one expected in the End Times according to what is revealed in the hadiths.

This false belief system, which claims that living things came into being by chance, which maintains that apes are the ancestors of human beings, which seeks to convince human beings they are animals with no responsibilities, which has led to mass slaughter and has initiated wars through the twisted idea that the strong must crush the weak, and which regards human beings as worthless and inferior, is actually Darwinism, one of the Dajjal’s worst plots. However, having persisted for the last 150 years, it has finally been thwarted in the early 21st century. The Dajjal’s plot is over, and the Dajjal is dead. Mass deception has come to an end. False religion has been crushed in the face of the true faith of Allah. There is no doubt that Allah will make His faith prevail. Our Lord reveals in one verse:

Allah confirms the Truth by His words, even though the evildoers hate it. (Surah Yunus, 82)

The Dajjal’s Plotting Has Come to an End – 1

Posted under General

The life of this world is a transient thing in which good and bad, beauty and ugliness appear, by their actions in which human beings are tested, and in which believers and non-believers are distinguished from one another. Almighty Allah, Who has created all beings and this testing, has also created an enemy in the form of a denier and wrong-doer to confront believers as part of the test. This denier, who confronted prophets, messengers and believers throughout the history, at a time when the hadiths of the Prophet (saas) tell us the Prophet ‘Isa (as) is expected to return to Earth, in the End Times in other words, will be the “Dajjal,” or the Antichrist.

Dajjal is an Arabic word, derived from the root “dajl.” Dictionaries define Dajjal as “liar, fraud, a seditious and damned person who confuse the minds, hearts, good and bad, the right and the wrong, who hides the real face of something by gilding it, who wanders everywhere.”

The hadiths refer to the Dajjal as the greatest negative force to appear in the end of times. The Dajjal, who will attempt to rule the system of satan by means on enmity towards the messenger of Allah in the End Times when extraordinary events take place, is perhaps one of the worst deniers of all time. Our Prophet (saas) describes the dimension of the corruption of the Dajjal as follows:

“There would be no creation (creating more trouble) than the Dajjal right from the creation of Adam to the Last Hour.” [i]

It is narrated in traditions that the Dajjal is a deceiver who portrays truth as falsity and falsity as truth, and good as bad and bad as good. As we are told in the hadith He will also have Paradise and Hell with him. Though his Paradise will appear as Paradise, in reality it will be Hell, and likewise, though his Hell will appear like Hell, in reality it will be Paradise.” [ii] everything he calls beautiful is actually an evil that will inflict disaster on humanity. And the values he depicts as evil are actually beneficial and in the interests of humanity. Yet since some people do not look at events in the light of the moral values of the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet (saas), they will be misled by the things to which the Dajjal invites them and will follow him, while heedlessly turning their backs on the path of Allah, which they should actually follow. They will see what a grave error that is thanks to the climate of oppression the Dajjal will establish. It is for these reasons that our Prophet (saas) has warned mankind and told people to act in the knowledge that what the Dajjal portrays as evil is in fact good:

“The Dajjal will appear. And there will be along with him water and fire. What the people will see as water will be burning fire. And what will appear as fire will be water. Any one of you who will see that should plunge in that which he sees as fire for it will be sweet, pure water.” [iii]

Allah Creates Our World As Images in the Brain

Posted under General

Everything we see as matter in fact consists merely of photons for us. Photons are light particles with varying wavelengths. These waves reach us and turn into electrical signals when they strike the retina in our eyes. The electrical signals move along a predetermined path and eventually reach the visual center in the brain. And there they assume meaning in a quite amazing way: We are sure that what we see is really there, and that there really is a television or a skyscraper in front of us.

No matter how convincing the image of a skyscraper may be, what you perceive as matter in fact consists of nothing more than electrical signals. And the image forms in your brain, not in front of you. The real image of the skyscraper outside will never reach you. All you perceive, as electrical signals, is the light waves emitted from it. To put it another way, what you see is nothing more than light waves and electrical signals. For that reason, throughout your life you only experience an illusory image of a skyscraper, never the original of it. Despite being an illusion, however, it still has a perfectly clear and flawless appearance. It is very difficult for you to realize the fact that it consists only of electrical signals. The image is so perfectly created in the brain that it is almost impossible to distinguish it from the original. This is the immaculate artistry of our Almighty Lord.

A miracle is created every day, every moment in the human brain. Although only electrical signals reach the brain, and although the interior of the brain is pitch black and although this region is only a few square centimeters in size, all the mountains, seas, fields, the sky, endless wastes, houses, televisions, people, trees and in short everything we see are all in the brain. Everything there is colored. But there is no color in the brain. Everything there is light and bright, but there is no light in the brain, nor even outside it. Everything there is noisy and accompanied by sound, but the interior of the brain is completely silent. There is a depth to everything there; the stars seem very far away, while a pencil we hold in our hand seems very close. But in fact everything is on the same plane in our brains and at the same distance. The Sun seems to be thousands of kilometers away. But it is actually right next to us, inside our brains. The reason why the Sun exists in our brains is simply and solely electrical signals. A heavenly body we know to be thousands of kilometers across is actually created in a space of just a few square centimeters. And, to remind ourselves, it exists solely as an electrical signal, that we cannot hold in our hands nor even really know exists.

For that reason, the world we see is not the original of matter. We can never have direct experience of the original of matter on the outside. Our world is limited to what we are shown on the screens in our brains. Apart from that, we have no guarantee whether entities really exist or not, just as we have no guarantee whether the world created for us is the same as the real world on the outside.

The world we see is the world that Allah transmits to our souls. There is no matter in that world; no hardness, softness, scent or color. There are only electrical signals. Allah makes electrical signals the causes of the bright and colorful world He shows our souls. And it is the soul He created for human beings that perceives and interprets these images, rejoices, grieves, doubts, feels joy and longing, remembers, loves and feels excitement in that world.

The Original of the Matter Created in the Brain: You Must First Read This To See the Artistry of Allah!

Posted under General

A mighty waterfall tumbling down from on high, the boundless oceans and the glorious, stunning mountains are all matchless works of Allah. The stars, clouds, birds and fish are all His miracles. Most people are in no doubt that a green forest that blossoms once again, grows and flourishes in the spring is one of the beautiful and glorious works of Allah.

Some people, however, regard skyscrapers, airplanes, laboratories and computers rather differently. The fact that these are made and built by human beings deceives them. They imagine that technology, civilization, scientific and technical progress are independent of Allah (Allah forbid) and forget that the human beings who are instrumental in their coming into existence are also created by Him. They fail to think that Allah, Who has made clouds the cause of rain and the Sun the cause of light, has also made man the cause of technology and civilization. They make the error of thinking that human beings have a power independent of Allah (Allah forbid) and that human beings invented the Internet, that human beings cause planes to fly, that human beings invented the tea spoon or biro, that human beings build space craft and that human beings discovered the forces responsible for keeping planes aloft. They imagine that plasma TVs, CD players, carpets, lampshades, cars and the products of advanced technology all appeared as the result of human intelligence and ability.

They make a terrible error in not regarding these as the artistry of Allah, and forget that He created them out of His mercy.

The fact is, however, that all these things, just like the seas, trees, flowers, fruits, the Sun and the boundless mountains, are all works of Allah. Allah in His mercy makes human beings the cause of all these things listed above. Allah has given human beings the intelligence and ability for this. Our Lord inspired them to discover these things. But it is certain that Allah has the power to have created them with no direct cause.

And everything we see is in fact CREATED “SPECIALLY FOR US” AND “INDEPENDENT OF NATURAL CAUSES” as Allah’s sublime artistry.

In order to understand this, we need to know that the matter we see and touch is an image created in our brains, that it is specially created for us, specially and moment by moment, and that we can never have direct experience of the originals on the outside.

Every person is in need of God at every instant of life. From the air one breathes to the food he eats, from the ability to use one’s hands to the faculty of speech, from being sheltered to being in a joyful spirit, one lives completely in need of what God creates and grants him. Still, a vast majority of people do not perceive their weaknesses and that they are in need of God. They suppose that things develop spontaneously or that they acquire everything by their own efforts. This is an important error, as well as a serious ingratitude towards God. Ironically, people who render their thanks to a person for even an insignificant gift, spend all their lives ignoring the countless blessings that God gives them all through their lives. However, so great are the blessings granted to a person that one could never count them. God relates this fact in a verse as follows:

If you tried to number God’s blessings, you could never count them. God is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Surat an-Nahl: 18)

Despite this fact, most people fail to give thanks for any of the blessings they have. The reason for this is related in the Qur’an: Satan, who pledged to misguide people from God’s way, said that his ultimate aim is to make people be ungrateful to God. Satan’s defiant statements to God emphasize the importance of giving thanks to God:

‘Then I will come at them, from in front of them behind them, from their right and from their left. You will not find most of them thankful.’ He (God) said, ‘Get out of it, reviled and driven out. As for those of them (mankind) who follow you, I, will fill up Hell with every one of you.’ (Surat al-A’raf: 17-18)

Believers, on the other hand, aware of their weaknesses and in humility before God, render their thanks to Him for every blessing granted. Wealth and possessions are not the only blessings for which believers render their thanks to God. Knowing that God is the Owner and Possessor of everything, believers express their inner gratefulness for good health, beauty, knowledge, wisdom, love of faith and hatred from disbelief, understanding, insight, foresight and for power. They are thankful for being rightly guided and for being in the company of believers.

A beautiful landscape, easy handling of their affairs, fulfillment of their wishes, tidings of great joy, respectful conduct or any other blessings make believers immediately turn to God, express their gratefulness to Him and reflect on His mercy and compassion.

In return for good morals displayed, a reward awaits believers. This is another of the secrets revealed in the Qur’an; God increases His blessings on those who are grateful. For example, God grants even more health and power to those who render their thanks to God for the good health and strength they have. God bestows even more knowledge and property to those who are grateful for their knowledge or wealth. This is because they are sincere people who are contented with what God gives and are pleased with the blessings and who take God as their friend. God relates this secret in the Qur’an as follows:

And when your Lord announced: “If you are grateful, I will certainly give you increase, but if you are ungrateful, My punishment is severe.”‘ (Surah Ibrahim: 7)

Being grateful is also a sign of one’s closeness to and love of God. People who give thanks have the insight and capability to perceive the beauties and blessings that God creates. God’s Messenger, peace be upon him, also referred to this when he said:

When God gives you property, the bliss of God’s blessing and offering must be reflected on you.

On the other hand, a disbelieving or ungrateful person will only see the imperfections and faults even in the most beautiful environment, and thus will be unhappy and discontented. Indeed, as a divine purpose in God’s creation, such people, always come across with seemingly unfavorable events and unpleasant scenes. On the other hand, God displays more of His bounties and blessings to those who have a sincere and insightful outlook.

That God increases His blessings to those who are grateful is one of the secrets of the Qur’an. However, one needs to keep in mind that sincerity is a prerequisite for being grateful. No doubt, one’s way of showing his gratitude without turning sincerely to God and feeling the inner peace of God’s infinite mercy and compassion, which is solely intended to impress people, would be sheer insincerity. God knows what hearts harbor, and will bear witness to this insincerity. Those who have insincere inner intentions may conceal it from other people, but not from God. Such people may render their thanks with affected manners when there is no affliction, but at times of hardship, it is possible that they may readily lapse into ungratefulness.

It should be also noted that true believers remain grateful to God even under harshest conditions. Someone looking from outside may see the diminishing of some blessings believers enjoy. However, believers, who are able to perceive the good aspect of every event and situation, see goodness in this too. For example, God states that He will test people with fear, hunger and loss of wealth or life. In such a situation, believers rejoice and feel grateful, hoping that God will reward them with the gifts of paradise in return for the steadfastness they displayed in this test.

They know that God does not impose on anyone more than he can bear. The steadfastness and submission of such awareness lead them to patience and gratitude. Therefore, it is an obvious attribute of believers to show unwavering dedication and submission and God promises to expand His blessings on His grateful servants both in the life of this world and in the Hereafter.

The life of this world is a test specially created by Allah. It is a transitory thing with both good and bad in which human beings are tested. There is, of course, considerable wisdom in this. It is essential that evil exist beside good for people to understand the value of Paradise. Human beings are tested in terms of the virtuous behavior they display, by Allah’s leave, in this sphere in which the good are divided from the evil.

The life of this world is a sphere in which there is a constant struggle between the good and the bad. However, good and bad are not separated from one another by just a few characteristics. They possess totally different, comprehensive and detailed character traits. The bad act entirely according to satan’s directions, while the good follow their consciences. The bad know no bounds inspired by fear of Allah, and are capable of doing anything at any time. When the situation and prevailing conditions require they are quite capable of lying, slandering others, engaging in unlawful acts, disloyalty, treachery, putting their own interests before those of others, hatred, envy, imbalance and intrigue. Since they have no fear of Allah they are potentially capable of all kinds of betrayal and wickedness. There is nothing to stop them killing, for example, when they become sufficiently imbalanced. The more evil they commit, the more they come under satan’s control, and the more evil deeds they are capable of committing.

People under satan’s control busy themselves with wrongdoing, making life difficult for others, and spreading darkness, fear and misery, instead of enjoying life’s blessings. They look at the life of this world from a different perspective. Although they know their lives will be very brief, they still elect to waste this short time span on feelings of greed and enmity, thinking of their own interests. And their targets are people of good character.

Good people are those who act from a fear of Allah. The delights created in this world are all blessings in the eyes of such people. Fear of Allah leads them to behave well and properly throughout their lives, to be loyal and honest, never to do anything unlawful, never to infringe anyone else’s rights, to put others above themselves, to be friends and brothers to others, to be trustworthy, to harbor no ulterior motives and never to plot and conspire. Such people are highly virtuous at every moment in their lives. They are never imbalanced, exhibit unexpected character traits or lose control of themselves. Because of their fear of Allah, the good always behave in a manner compatible with the Qur’an. This is one of the main distinguishing features between the good and the bad. It is also the cause of the evil’s eternal hostility to the good: Since the evil have declared war on all that Allah sees as good, they also hate those who love Him.

Since the life of this world is a test in which the good are distinguished from the bad, whenever there is chaos and evil in it, one faces the need to live in a manner compatible with the Qur’an. Only when people live for Allah’s approval, and thus according to the Qur’an, will this world be a flawless place of friendship, brotherhood, honesty, love and compassion. The fact that this world was created as described in the Qur’an is also evidence of the existence of the Hereafter. People are tested according to whether or not they will abide by the Qur’an. In one verse Almighty Allah reveals:

He Who created death and life to test which of you is best in action. He is the Almighty, the Ever-Forgiving. (Surat al-Mulk, 2)

Perfection endures for all time in the eternal Paradise created by Allah. Our Almighty Lord will bestow His artistry of perfection, together with the most delightful blessings, on true believers in the Hereafter. Paradise is a sphere where there is no evil, imperfection, sorrow or fear, in which delights are bestowed for all eternity. It manifests the sublime artistry of Allah, He Who has the power to create flawlessness and the finest blessings. As our Almighty Lord reveals in other verses:

Those brought near will witness it. The truly good will be in perfect Bliss on couches gazing in wonder. (Surat al-Mutaffifin, 21-23)

The Darwinist Dictatorship – 29.09.2008 United Kingdom/The Independent

Posted under General

The 29 September, 2008, issue of The Independent, one of Britain’s major dailies, carried a report headed, “Creationist offers prize for fossil proof of evolution. The paper, which has a circulation of 250,000, considered the impact of Adnan Oktar’s activities in Britain, saying:

… creationist [Adnan Oktar]… has offered a multitrillion-pound challenge to scientists.

Adnan Oktar said that he has “issued a call to all evolutionists” that he will give “10 trillion Turkish lira to anyone who produces a single intermediate-form fossil demonstrating evolution” – a sum roughly equal to £4.4trn.

The Muslim writer, who uses the pen name Harun Yahya, is a fierce critic of what he calls “the Darwinist dictatorship” and a popular figure in his home country, where – according to a 2006 survey – only a quarter of the population believe in Darwin’s theory.

… [The author] claims there are no fossils to support Darwinist theories. “Evolutionists are at a dead-end in the face of the fossil record,” he said. “Not one [fossil] belongs to strange-looking creatures in the course of development of the kind supposed by evolutionists.” …

Mr Oktar found fame in 2006 when … copies of his The Atlas Of Creation were distributed worldwide. The 800-page volume illustrated his claims that for millions of years life forms have not developed, supporting his Islamic creationist beliefs.

… Mr Oktar defended Professor Michael Reiss, the British biologist who resigned as the director of education for the Royal Society earlier this month after suggesting that science teachers should consider creationism “not as a misconception but as a world view”.

Mr Oktar called it “concrete evidence of the panic Darwinists are experiencing”. …

Wahabbists Recommend Harun Yahya’s Books – 30.08.2008 USA/United Press International (UPI)

Posted under General

The Asian service of the American news agency United Press International (UPI), which has been publishing since 1907, reported that people in India were turning to the Abrahamic faiths and that the number of people who don’t believe in evolution is rising. The report, filed by an Indian social scientist on 30 August, 2008, noted that Wahabbists were making use of Harun Yahya’s books to oppose evolution:

“If one goes to any Wahabbist bookstore, one would find there books by Harun Yahya; many times my Wahabbist friends have recommended his books to me, saying, if only I would read Harun Yahya with an open mind, I would give up on the delusion of evolution.”

WOULD THAT THERE HAD BEEN MORE PEOPLE with a vestige of good among the generations of those who came before you, WHO FORBADE CORRUPTION IN THE EARTH, other than the few among them whom We saved. Those who did wrong gladly pursued the life of luxury that they were given and were evildoers.(Surah Hud, 116)

The Qur’an emphasizes the selfish nature of human beings’ earthly nature in the words, “Truly man was created headstrong –desperate when bad things happen…” (Surat al-Ma’arij, 19-20)

When people encounter situations that are difficult in terms of their earthly desires, when they find themselves in difficulties, they make enormous efforts to free themselves. However, because of the selfish nature of earthly desires, they do not show the necessary sympathy for situations that others find themselves in but that do not affect or discomfort them personally. They never try to resolve other people’s problems with the same energy and determination they exhibit in the face of their own.

No such behaviour is possible in true Muslim moral values. A true believer will regard the difficulties or troubles of another Muslim as his own, even if that person is at the other end of the world. He will use all the material and other means God has given him; his reason, intelligence, conscience, abilities, knowledge and talent, to the very end in order to find a solution. He will never say, “There are many people who are cleverer and more effective than I am who can find a solution to this problem, so let them take care of it.” Almost every days brings with it reports in the newspapers and on the television of the terrible scale of the oppression that Muslims are subjected to. The world is obviously in a state of chaos. Muslims are clearly exposed to a policy of aggression all over the world. The rights of Muslims who are tortured, oppressed, taken away from their homes with no explanation being given and never heard of again or kept prisoner in jails with no justification ever being provided are not being protected.

There is quite clearly a need for strong, determined, sincere and aware Muslims of good conscience who will defend the rights of these oppressed people.

It is unacceptable for a believer to behave uncaringly, apathetically, unconcernedly or uninterestedly in the face of that state of affairs. Faced with this picture, all believers and all rational human beings must spur their feelings of public spiritedness into action. Qur’anic moral values require them to encourage all rational Muslims of good conscience to, like themselves, do all in their power to help.

The result will be a glorious force, and even a small step taken will, by God’s leave, produce a power that will influence the whole world.

In the words of the Qur’an God describes those, “…WHO GLADLY PURSUED THE LIFE OF LUXURY THEY WERE GIVEN” and thus ignore their responsibilities. (Surah Hud, 116)

It is impossible for people of virtue and good conscience and who fear God to abandon their responsibilities and ignore the sufferings of Muslims all over the world, even though they see them perfectly clearly, and to devote themselves solely to their own interests and banal worldly gain. God will hold people who run away from their responsibilities and leave them to others, even though they know full well what they should do, in the hereafter.

For that reason, people must not only take action themselves in such a situation, but must also call on other Muslims to join together, spread moral virtues across the world and strive to bring oppression to an end. God tells us in the Qur’an that proper moral values require us to “… spur on the muminun…” (Surat an-Nisa, 84).

The Continuity of the Seasons

Posted under General

The seasons result from the fact that the Earth does not revolve around its own axis at the same speed it does around the Sun. This, of course, is a manifestation of a glorious order created by our Lord. Had God so wished, winter would have lasted for 365 days a year, and we would know no other kind of life. By creating four seasons, God imparts many different kinds of blessings on human beings.

God has created the seasons throughout the known course of human history right up to the present day. And He is still doing so. Everyone expects spring to be followed by summer, and nobody has any doubts on the subject. And summer duly comes. However, if God so chooses there may never be another summer on Earth. This fact is so that people who live by the Qur’an should reflect deeply on and give thanks for the blessings bestowed by God.

Each season has its own abundance of blessings. The blessings of summer include blooming flowers, fruits in their mouth-watering colours, and the delights of Sun and sea. God bestows His mercy on us by ensuring the continuity of these blessings. In one verse He reveals:

In the creation of the heavens and earth, and the alternation of the night and day, and the ships which sail the seas to people’s benefit, and the water which Allah sends down from the sky – by which He brings the earth to life when it was dead and scatters about in it creatures of every kind – and the varying direction of the winds, and the clouds subservient between heaven and earth, there are Signs for people who use their intellect. (Surat al-Baqara, 164)

Devil’s Pride Has Led Him to Denial until Doomsday

Posted under General

Pride and obstinacy, the deification and elevation of earthly desires in other words, are two of the main subjects on which people are tested in this world. God reveals in the Qur’an that pride and arrogance are a characteristic of deniers and those who deviate into blasphemy: But those who do not believe are full of vainglory and entrenched in hostility. (Surah Sad, 2)

Someone who wishes to raise his pride has discounted everything he loves. He will do anything, become contrary and unpleasant, and experience the soullessness and negativity of acting in contravention of the Qur’an. He will forego his love for someone else for the sake of his own pride in a single moment. Most important of all, however, he prefers his own pride to the love of God. And he will persist in his pride even at the risk of losing God’s approval. By thus deifying and elevating his own desires he sets himself up in opposition to God. (God is beyond that.)

The pride of devil, who forewent God’s pleasure and his place in paradise by glorifying himself and who devoted himself throughout the life of world to misleading human beings for the sake of that pride, is an obvious example of this. God describes devil’s position in the following verses:

When your Lord said to the angels, ‘I am creating a human being out of dried clay formed from fetid black mud

When I have formed him and breathed My Ruh into him, fall down in prostration in front of him!’

Then the angels prostrated all together, every one of them –

except Devil. He disdained to be one of the prostrators.
He said, ‘Devil, what is it that prevents you being among the prostrators?’

He said, ‘I will not prostrate to a human being whom You have created out of dried clay formed from fetid black mud.’

He said, ‘Get out from here, you are accursed.

The curse will be on you till the Day of Reckoning.’

He said, ‘My Lord, grant me a reprieve until the Day they are raised again.’

He said, ‘You are among the reprieved

until the Day whose time is known.’

He said, ‘My Lord, because You misled me, I will make things on the earth seem good to them and I will mislead them all, every one of them,

except Your slaves among them who are sincere.’ (Surat al-Hijr, 28-40)

Devil’s obstinacy and pride is a sign of the dimension of the scourge he represents. His preference for his own pride over the love of God and the blessings bestowed by Him, his desire, resulting from the fierceness of that pride, to cause people to deviate from the true path throughout the life of this world, and the way that he does this so blatantly, in contravention of God’s desire, and knowing that he will go to hell, are all significant in terms of the dimension of this scourge.

The example of devil is a reality that reveals that people who love pride are not really capable of love. There is very definitely no room for feelings such as peace, security, friendship, loyalty, brotherhood or altruism. There is literally nobody else around for anyone who is prepared to give up the ones he loves for the sake of his pride. He is all alone with his earthly desires and deified pride.

Our Almighty Lord has warned people against this danger and described how devil will at the end of the day always abandon then:

He led me astray from the Reminder after it came to me.’ Devil always leaves man in the lurch. (Surat al-Furqan, 29)

Anyone wishing to elevate his earthly desires is very definitely demeaned in the sight of God. He rewards such demeaned people in the hereafter and, if He so chooses, in this world. Our Lord has said that Devil, whom He expelled from paradise for his pride, is actually one of the demeaned:

He said, ‘Descend from Heaven. It is not for you to be arrogant in it. So get out! You are one of the abased.’ (Surat al-A’raf, 13)

The moral values praised by God are those of people who do not exalt their earthly desires, who are never the captives of their own pride, who know that God gives all things and that they stand in need of Him, and who are aware of their own helplessness. Nobody who constantly bears these things in mind can ever become proud, or elevate his own earthly desires in the belief that the blessings given him by our Lord really belong to him, not forget his own helplessness and imagine that he is a great human being. People who bear these things in mind are the friends of God. They constantly give thanks to Him. They know that they need God, and hope to live pleasant lives and for the best in the hereafter with His help, mercy and love. They have God’s approval and friendship, and so they have no need for anything else. People living in that awareness of course have the best knowledge of love and loyalty and the value of their blessings. In one verse Almighty God says:

If Allah helps you, no one can vanquish you. If He forsakes you, who can help you after that? So the muminun should put their trust in Allah. (Surat al’Imran, 160)

God maintains the temperature of the Earth in equilibrium and ensures the continuity of that equilibrium. If the temperature were to rise a little the ice caps would melt and the equilibrium on Earth be destroyed. But no such thing happens. This equilibrium ordained on Earth and in the entire universe is constantly maintained. If the heat of the Sun were to rise a little the whole of our galaxy would be affected. But the order determined by God is perfectly stable, and God ensures that it is constantly and uninterruptedly maintained. A similar picture was produced in the world-famous film After Tomorrow, in which a storm suddenly arose and the air began to freeze, so quickly that a helicopter suddenly freezes and the people inside it freeze to death in a matter of seconds.

The fact that the Earth constantly follows a safe and regular course in this giant universe is a sign of faith that people must reflect deeply on. God shows us His infinite might. Anyone with an open mind will realise his own helplessness in the face of the might of God by way of these signs leading to faith, and will see that he has no power to do anything unless God so wishes. In one verse of the Holy Qur’an God says:

We made the sky a preserved and protected roof yet still they turn away from Our Signs. It is He who created night and day and the sun and moon, each one swimming in a sphere. (Sura al-Anbiya’, 32-33)

Only True Muslims Can See the Secret of the Test

Posted under General

One of the greatest secrets distinguishing believers from non-believers is the difficulties, troubles and sicknesses they encounter in the life of this world. Things that lead to denial in some people are blessings for Muslims and means whereby they draw themselves closer to God. This is the secret of the test, through which believers live completely different lives in this world to those of the deniers.
Sickness, and especially serious illness, is a special test that only the person involved fully knows and experiences, the sufferings of which only that person feels. Like everything else, however, sickness comes from God. And the cure also comes from Him.

Patience in the face of sickness, proper fortitude in the knowledge that sickness comes from God, is a trait unique to true, sincere, honest Muslims. Our Almighty Lord refers to the Prophet Ayyub as an example:
“And Ayyub when he called out to his Lord, ‘Great harm has afflicted me and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful,’

We responded to him and removed from him the harm which was afflicting him and restored his family to him, and the same again with them, as a mercy direct from Us and a Reminder to all worshippers.” (Sura al-Anbiya’, 83-84)

A Muslim knows that troubles and difficulties, as well as blessings, all come from God and that they represent a special test. He knows that because of his love of and faith in our Lord he must display a proper fortitude in the face of troubles. He is aware that this patience is an indication of his love and friendship for God. He knows that they will come to an end simply by God so commanding, that their existence is a secret of the test and that since they are desired by God they must be regarded as blessings. The patience and submission exhibited in the face of difficulties by someone possessed of that awareness is not something that can be managed by those who are not sincere.

For the great majority of people, sickness and trouble are reasons to sulk with God and even to deny Him (God is beyond that). Even some people who describe themselves as Muslims may draw apart from belief in God by regarding troubles as terrible woes visited on them by Him and thus distance themselves from the duties incumbent upon all Muslims.

These situations, which true Muslims regard as tests and blessings, the recompense for their patience in the face of which they are told will be paradise, are generally treated as instruments of denial and rejection by people who hold contrary views. There is no doubt that the latter is a defective and corrupt perspective that will lead to grave losses in this world and the hereafter.

The Prophet Yusuf chose to reject the desires of the governor’s wife and to face imprisonment, even though he was totally guiltless. And he lingered there, unjustly, for many years. Looked at superficially, abandoning worldly interests in favour of years of imprisonment is not something that is possible for people who do not have a proper fear of God and who have not grasped the secret of the test. But because of his love and profound fear of God, the Prophet Yusuf was aware that such a circumstance had been specially created for him and that he was being tested. He was aware that there was a particular significance and wisdom behind our Lord, who would also create the finest of blessings for him, creating those particular circumstances at that moment. He had faith that his recompense would be infinite blessings in the hereafter, and his powerful love of God led him to behave in the most correct way.

In order for people to be able to see the secret of the test, to respond to difficulty and sickness with virtue and thanks, and to demonstrate the proper submission, they must first fear God. Knowing that all things come from God and that God will create a solution to all difficulties is of course one of the paths leading to the greatest salvation. Our Almighty Lord reveals in His verses:

“We will test you with a certain amount of fear and hunger and loss of wealth and life and fruits. But give good news to the steadfast: Those who, when disaster strikes them, say, ‘We belong to Allah and to Him we will return’.” (Surat al-Baqara, 155-156)

His Country’s Most Colorful Adherent of Creationism – 22.09.2008 Germany/Der Spiegel

Posted under General

Der Spiegel, Europe’s highest selling German weekly magazine with a circulation of over a million, carried a report on 22 September 2008 titled “The Theory of Evolution: The Weapon of the Godless.” The report, written by Daniel Steinvorth, discussed Adnan Oktar’s intellectual struggle against Darwinism. The impact of the author’s work was described as follows:

You can find Adnan Oktar’s interview with Der Spiegel’s Istanbul correspondent Daniel Steinvorth here.
Fundamentalist Christians in America are not the only ones leading a crusade against Darwin. Creationism and “intelligent design” are becoming increasingly popular among Turkey’s Muslims, too.
The man who wants to save the world goes by the name of Harun Yahya and resembles an actor from the age of silent films. He wears a white silk suit, gold cufflinks and has a finely trimmed beard on his chin. “In 20 years,” he says in serious tone, “humanity will enter a golden age.”

Yahya says that he discovered these joyful tidings in the Bible and the Koran. He maintains that it is a “scientific fact” that Jesus and Mahdi, the Muslim messiah, will return to mankind to solve all global conflicts. Beforehand, however, he says that these two heavenly emissaries will have to tackle another challenge: They must eradicate the heresy of British naturalist Charles Darwin, who postulated that all life arose from a process of natural selection.

As Yahya sees it, Darwinism is the root of all the world’s evils. In order to help rid the world of this theory, he has had thousands of copies of The Atlas of Creation printed and shipped around the world. This large-format 800-page tome aims to prove that there never was a natural evolution of species. Instead, it contends that all forms of life on earth have remained unchanged for millions of years. Brightly colored illustrations of fossils have been included so as to document the lack of so-called transitional forms.

Yahya … is without a doubt his country’s most colorful adherent of creationism. He claims that he has already sold 8 million copies of his various books. …

A survey conducted in 2006 showed just how unpopular the theory of evolution remains in the most modern of all Islamic countries. The populations of 34 countries were questioned on their attitude toward the theory of evolution, and the lowest percentage of supporters was found in Turkey. … As Hüseyin Çelik, Turkey’s orthodox minister of education, recently put it, Darwinism is nothing more than a “weapon of materialists and infidels.” …

The French Have Been Bowled Over – 09.05.2007 France/20 Minutes

Posted under General

20 Minutes, a French daily with a circulation of 850,000, reported the latest developments regarding the Atlas of Creation on its web site in a report dated 9 May, 2007, titled “Charles Darwin and Islam Toe to Toe:”

… They have initiated a counter-attack against Darwin with a book in which Darwinism is described as the root of all evils and accused of matters such as communism, Nazism, racism and terrorism. The book, 765 pages long, has been sent to all schools in Europe. It is extremely well-illustrated, printed on glossy paper, full of pictures and has been dispatched to higher education institutions of all kinds. The name of the book is the Atlas of Creation, and was written by a pleasant Turkish Muslim under the name of Harun Yahya.

The book has been appearing in the mailboxes of schools ever since last summer. It has now reached the mailboxes of various politicians and scientists. The book has been presented to a large number of politicians and scientists. As it says in the book: Darwinism is the source behind several ideologies that favor violence and have led to the disasters experienced by mankind over the last century, and Islam is the only solution to the crises in the modern world… The French were bowled over in February by this surprise in the written form.
